Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation
I am an ambassador for the AMDF - an organisation that strives to find a cure for mitochondrial disease. A debilitating set of conditions that attacks the muscles and leaves thousands of children across Australia and countless more worldwide without the ability to play, go to school or even get out of bed and enjoy the sunlight.
I know I take the ability to step outside for granted, especially in a lifestyle where most of us on tumblr prefer to stay indoors and avoid the sunlight. But we have the choice — they don’t.
